Knitted Mesh

Knitted Mesh is a low-cost product that offers excellent product efficiency over a wide range of conditions. Made from individual wires interlaced together, the loops of this mesh are strategically woven to move and stretch without coming undone. Just like a sweater, these properties make knitted mesh very flexible. The mesh will return to and maintain its original shape at all times unless it is stressed beyond its designated yield point.

Knitted mesh is ideal for a wide range of applications and finished products because it is flexible, durable, and versatile. It is made using various materials, based on your needs, including Stainless Steel 300 grades and other alloys upon request.

Common applications include:

  •  Demister Process Applications
  • Oil Mist Extractors
  • Gas-Liquid Separators
  • Distillation Equipment
  • Process Absorbers, Precipitators, and Scrubbers
  • Chemical Separators and Extractors
  • Oil and Gas Processing Equipment
  • Combustion Gas Scrubbers
  • Knockout Drums and Receivers
  • Refinery Towers
  • Liquid-Liquid Coalesces
  • Pollution Control Equipment
  • Two-Phase Eliminators

Reverse Plain Dutch Weave

Manufactured as a Reverse Plain Dutch Weave or RPDW, this wire mesh comes in a twill pattern that reduces the deformation of the warp wire. This mesh is particularly strong with a high flow rate, adding stability and durability to your project. It is perfect for high-pressure filtration, including continuous filter screens and sand screen applications.

Dutch weaves cross two wires under and two over, allowing heaving wires and higher mesh counts. In these applications, the weft wires are drawn up so tightly that there is always a weft wire above and below the warp wires. this creates a weave that completely covers the warp wires, adding superior strength.

Description:

  • High number of wires with thin diameters for increased mechanical stability
  • Commonly used in solid-liquid filtration
  • Excellent filter applications for vertical pressure leaf filters, horizontal pressure leaf filters, centrifuges, and backwashable cartridge filters

Filter Applications:

  • Precoat filtration
  • Horizontal pressure leaf filters
  • Centrifuges
  • Continuous polymer filters
  • Sand control screens
  • Pore size > 60 µm

Reversed Dutch Twilled Weave

RDTWs are reversed dutch twilled weave meshes developed for increased strength. As a world-class leader in technical metal weaving of stainless-steel architectural mesh systems, GKD Metal Fabrics’ state-of-the-art weave technology enables an even pore size and stability, high flow rates, and narrow tolerance fields in the pore dimensions. These metal products enhance the overall aesthetics, function, and efficiency of every project for which they’re used. In many cases, the RDTW weave is referred to as KPZ Microdur weave or KPZ.

Description:

  • An excellent option for durability and strength
  • High flow rates and narrow tolerance fields
  • Excellent filter applications for precoat filtration, horizontal pressure leaf filters, centrifuges, continuous polymer filters, sand control screens, and more

Applications:

  • Precoat filtration
  • Horizontal pressure leaf filters
  • Centrifuges
  • Continuous polymer filters
  • Sand control screens
  • Pore size > 60 µm

Dutch Twilled Weave

Dutch Twilled Weave mesh is particularly strong and durable, making it ideally suited for heavy-duty filtration tasks. The high material density of this lightproof metal fabric is provided by the twilled weave because it offers more weft wires than traditional weaves. Due to the complex manufacturing process of this weave, the production of this mesh takes longer than others. However, we offer pre-assembled twilled dutch in stock to help meet your project needs. Still, custom sizing and materials can be ordered upon request.

Common applications include acoustics, crude oil filtration, micro sieving, vegetable oil filtration, and Polymer filtration, among others.

Description:

  • Robust mesh is ideal for heavy-duty filtration tasks
  • Customized options available upon request
  • Excellent filter applications for nutsche filters, precoat filter systems, sand control screens, cartridge filters, and more

Applications:

  • Nutsche filters
  • Precoat filter systems
  • Sand control screens
  • Cartridge filters
  • Pore size > 5 µm

Plain Dutch Weave

Dutch Woven Wire Mesh combines big welt wires and small warp wires, enabling strong wire application with super fine filtration. The Dutch weave wire cloth is typically used as industry filter media, offering strength and rigidity with fine filtration capabilities. Plain Dutch weave cloth is formed by weaving a limited number of warps wires with the maximum number of weft wires. As they are woven tightly together, it produces a cloth with no readily visible aperture. The shape and position of the cloth openings aid with particle retention and increase filter cake formation.

Plain Dutch weave mesh is strong and stable. It is also easy to clean with a good flow rate suitable for high-pressure liquid/solid separation.

Description:

  • Increased mechanical strength for industrial filtration
  • Manufactured in the plain weave pattern
  • Excellent filter applications for drum filters, nutsche filters, cartridge filters, vertical pressure leaf filters, and more

Applications:

  • Drum filters
  • Nutsche filters
  • Cartridge filters
  • Vertical pressure leaf filters
  • Mesh pore size > 45 µm
